The holiday villas are designed to maximise the stunning beach and lagoon views and offer spacious and breezy interiors each with a raised private wooden veranda. Our accommodation is located half way along the longest stretch of white sand beach on Aitutaki Island and directly in-front of the best swimming lagoon along this coastline and with sublime sunset views. It's also a short walk along the beach to the islands best snorkelling spot.

This intimate Aitutaki beach holiday destination is ideal for couples, honeymooners and families looking for a quiet lodging away the more commercial tourist resorts in Aitutaki, yet just a few minutes walk to these resorts and independent restaurants along the beach. Aitutaki Beach Villas has its own sea-kayaks for guest use and there are beach tables, hammocks, chairs and a shared BBQ for your leisure. Snorkelling gear is available for hire from the villas as are scooters and bicycles which can be pre-booked.

The villas are managed by colourful local character Murare John who meets all guests off the flight from Rarotonga. Murare can assist with all tour bookings, car, moped and bicycle hire and will make sure you get all the info about the island you need including shopping, local transport, walks, church services and snorkelling spots. The villas are serviced most days by our local housekeeper.

Our Location on Aitutaki Island

 

Aitutaki Beach Villas is found midway between Aitutaki Airport and Amuri Village on the west side of the main island of Aitutaki. The area is a quiet spot with a splattering of houses and small resorts along the coastline and is backed by small grassy hills. The beach stretches for almost 4 kilometres and is backed by iron-wood and coconut trees making it a great spot for beach walking.

The villas are about a 30-minute walk or 5-minute moped ride into Arutanga Town where day cruises and charter boats depart from the harbour to explore Aitutaki Lagoon.

The nearest grocery shop is a five minute walk away and sells a limited amount of every-day groceries. Arutanga Town has the largest store on island and is a ten minute ride by moped. There are several restaurants are within five minute walk including the resort restaurants of Pacific Resort Aitutaki and Tamanu Beach Hotel both of which welcome outside guests.

Aitutaki Island is a 40-mninute flight north of Rarotonga in the Cook islands. The island is very quiet with traditional Polynesian villages along the coast and just a handful of shops and restaurants.

Aitutaki Island is mostly renowned for its stunning enclosed lagoon scattered lined with uninhabited coral islands and both can be explored on day cruises and charters. Kite-surfing and bone fishing are also exceptional in the lagoon and tour operators offer guests equipment and private charters.
